Cerium Fluoride, is the important raw material for polishing powder, special glass, metallurgical applications. In glass industry, it is considered to be the most efficient glass polishing agent for precision optical polishing.
It is also used to decolorize glass by keeping iron in its ferrous state.
In steel manufacturing, it is used to remove free Oxygen and Sulfur by forming stable oxysulfides and by tying up undesirable trace elements, such as lead and antimony.

Disposal under dry protective gas,
Keep the receptacle sealed
Put it in a tight container and store in a cool, dry place
Container: Store in airtight containers to prevent moisture absorption and contamination. Glass or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) containers are usually suitable.
Environment: Keep the storage area well ventilated and avoid direct sunlight. Avoid storage in areas with high humidity.
Temperature: Maintain a steady, cool temperature to prevent any potential degradation or reaction with environmental factors.
Label: Clearly label containers with the chemical name, hazard information, and storage date.
Safety Precautions: Please follow any specific safety guidelines provided in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for Cerium Fluoride as inhalation or ingestion may present a health risk.
Will not decompose if used and stored according to specifications
Avoid contact with acid.

Packaging: Use suitable packaging materials that are moisture proof and can safely contain the powder. Ensure the container is tightly sealed to prevent spillage.
Label: Clearly label the packaging with the chemical name, hazard symbol and any relevant safety information. This includes indicating that it is an inorganic compound and any specific handling instructions.
Transportation Conditions: During transportation, please store the materials in a cool and dry environment. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity, otherwise the integrity of the packaging may be affected.
Incompatibility: Ensure that cerium fluoride is not shipped together with incompatible substances such as strong acids or bases, as these may cause dangerous reactions.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Personnel handling transport should wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, goggles, and masks to prevent inhalation or skin contact.
Emergency Procedures: Have emergency procedures in place in case of a spill or accident during transport. This includes having a spill kit and first aid supplies ready.
Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all local, national and international regulations regarding the transportation of dangerous goods, including any specific guidelines for rare earth compounds.
